This project was born from a simple yet profound question: "What is the design only the three of us can create?".1 The result is a 240-square-foot Tiny House on Wheels (THOW), a hands-on exploration of craft, collaborative innovation, and design at its most human scale. As much an experiment in redesigning the design process as it was in creating a unique object, this project brought together the skills of an architect, a marketer, and a wood and metal artist to produce a one-of-a-kind dwelling.1

Despite its small footprint, the house is rich in detail and functionality. It features abundant natural light, solid walnut countertops, extensive built-in storage, and a full-size shower with a composting toilet. The appliance package includes a washer and dryer, refrigerator, and a three-burner range, offering all the amenities of a larger home in a compact, mobile package.1 Weighing 10,000 pounds, the house is designed for flexibility, able to be towed by most half-ton trucks to its next destination.1

Led by Praxis's principal in a personal collaboration, this project showcases a passion for design that extends beyond traditional client work. It demonstrates a commitment to hands-on making, an interest in alternative and sustainable housing models, and a belief in the power of a truly collaborative process. This work adds a layer of personality and design passion to the firm's brand, highlighting a dedication to craft that informs every project, regardless of scale.
