At Praxis...

We focus on facilitating a co-creative community process to arrive at a more cohesive, cost effective design direction that builds social fabric while delivering planet-positive solutions.

Often our work begins by guiding the incubation of ideas to generate potential, vision, and purpose through the creation of a Story of Place...an approach that explores the history, anthropology, and interconnection of a specific site.

We help communities define stakeholders, system boundaries, and relationships within the nested bioregion. From there, we move into actualization—assessing resources, relationships, and larger networks to develop a Masterplan that supports both immediate and generational project manifestations. This process defines the architecture and infrastructure needed to sustain the living systems we seek to create.

As a full service Architecture Firm, we lead a skilled team of Landscape Designers, Permaculturists, and Civil, Structural, and MEP engineers through our Integrative Development Process (IDP) from Schematic Design through Construction Documentation and into construction. We work closely with municipalities and local jurisdictions to navigate permitting and regulatory approvals.

We are committed to using vernacular materials and construction techniques that uplift the broader community. The buildings we create are energy generators, water harvesters, and multigenerational carbon sequesters—all while fostering community engagement through “barn-raisings” and shared experiences.

If you're working on something inspiring, please reach out and let's start a conversation.
